                             ...i really think we stand
at a turning point in history, and that this guy would
save the earth from otherwise almost certain global
warming. i don't feel much suspicion about general clark
after watching him for a long time. he and i are birds
of a feather, even if we don't always see eye to eye...
george jr. upsets me more than most folks in so many ways,
but details pale against the backdrop of environmental
catastrophe that almost alone has the capacity to stir
my dreams until i wake sweating. i've also dreamed of
another path, one oddly bound up in the manifest destiny
of this beleaguered land of ours, this 200-odd year old
twist in management strategy. i'm not kidding - i dream
about this stuff. never could figure out why... let's
not try to teach the old guard a lesson. let's not strike
back for ordinary americans. let's not campaign to end
the special interests which have perturbed washington's
moral compass. let's not vote for honesty and integrity
above all things. all those are the understandable and
of course very commendable goals of generation dean, but
i believe (out of a complex admixture of rational and
impressionistic feelings) that the door into an entirely
different historical corridor is represented by wesley
clark's candidacy. i believe it would elevate the politics
not only of americans, but of the whole global community.
compared to george and osama's time that's not saying much,
but i mean more than that. we need much more than a good
man to be president, more even than a good president - we
need a global strategy...
