First, Paul's wording could, perhaps, raise a bit of confusion over a
quantum state (influence) that is faster than light and that is non-local
and therefore connects two points (particles) which are separated by a
spacelike interval. Perhaps it is only my misunderstanding of what he was
saying, but it seems there could be no situation where separate observers
could, even in principle, observe the propagation of such a state. They
could see the results of a state change. They could see the change in
relative velocity (actual propagation rate change) between two particles
but not the propagation of such a quantum state as I will describe next:
Such a quantum state can be illustrated where two particles have a common
de Broglie wavelength (lambda sub-c) which is equal to or greater than the
spacelike interval separating them which in this case is really just a
one-dimensional relationship. But the de Broglie wavelength (lambda) here
is not related to an electromagnetic wave which propagates at c. It is a
quantum state that defines their dynamic relationship (between the two
particles) which relationship at all times has an instantaneous real value.
This particular quantum state is like an on/off switch for a non-local
interaction. If lambda sub-c for the two particles in question had a value
which was less than the interparticle distance then no non-local influence
would exist and only local interactions which followed Coulomb's Law would
ensue but if lambda sub-c were to be equal to or greater than the inter-
particle distance then a powerful attractive interaction between like
charges of an intensity level equivalent to the strong force would ensue
without regard to position in the field (no inverse square law). There is
no propagation velocity at all (of the quantum state or its influence, as
in a force) and such a force would be independent of the distance between
the particles and the particles would interact instantaneously regardless
of distance. Oppositely charged particles, when in the overlap state, would
repulsively interact giving rise to the weak interaction and contributing
to the asymmetry of gravity.
When two particles overlap as described above, they are in the same momentum
space but they could physically be light years apart but instantaneously
influencing each other.

The primary tool we use to perceive the universe is our consciousness
which can be oriented only locally *or* in some individuals can have a
mixture of local and non-local aspects. In religion some perceive God
to be the highest example of the non-local intellect. In apprehending God
to be omnipresent, and omniscient and omnipotent we apprehend Him to be
not only everywhere (that is non-local) but to know everything and to be
the quintessence of power. Localism is pure determinism, absolute cause
and effect, The ideas of fate and destiny have their roots in absolute
causality; the individuals subject to fate or destiny are powerless beings.
The central idea of the Christian religion, whether openly stated or not,
is to put to death the local consciousness in the individual and supplant
it with the universal non-local consciousness. The local consciousness's
state is likened to being in prison (trapped in causality) and has an extra-
polated end which is death whereas the non-local consciousness's metaphor
is related to escape from determinism while taking the mantle of power and
whose extrapolated end is no end at all but rather everlasting life. We
all express non-localness in our consciousness when we are empathetic to
the poor, destitute, lonely, and suffering ones of mankind. Those who
don't feel any connection with them are those who only experience local
consciousness.
Paul Easton's saying: "an individual whose mind set is in tune with the flow
of the universe" is a loose description of one who recognizes that every
particle in the universe is intimately and irrevocably connected. "In tune"
can relate to not just "knowing" but also to "doing" which from the aspect
of religion makes for two separate doctrines. If you are absolutely 'hard-
wired' to the rest of the universe, everything you do, really, is done by you
to you. These facts mandate a logical behavior which embraces kindness, love,
caring, helping, sharing, etc. I think it can be reasonably be stated that
our individual behavior is directly linked to the perceptive mode we are
currently supporting by our consciousness. When we forget about the inter-
connection that links us all it is as if we are falling asleep back into the
clutches of death. We even define 'Good' and 'evil' as according to non-
local consciousness and behavior and local consciousness and behavior
respectively. No man is an island.
Obtaining 'scientific proof' is problematic because one actually has to
obtain the non-local consciousness (from whence comes precognition, etc.)
to see and be convinced of the reality of it. In other words, it has to
happen to you. When it happens to an individual, that individual knows it's
true while everyone else finds reasons to doubt; but the individual can
establish 'scientific' proof by making a dated sealed document of some
precognitive event, putting it into the hands of a 'scientific team of
authorities' and letting the event come to pass. If he predicts a meteorite
hitting the ground at a certain place on a certain day or predicts a
concentrated weather phenomenon like a tornado hitting a particular town
on a particular date then he would become very believable. However, this
still is only one individual and something 'scientific' implies anyone
could do this. Now if he can do it a lot so it is not random then we have
the 'proof' externalized. Is this a good thing though? Telekinesis, for
example, would be an event which 'should' constitute 'scientific proof'.
But what if our journey through the cosmos has as a key miss on the obtainment
of the non-local consciousness (Christ mind) and what if the pathway to that
Mind and using that Mind to begin the steps toward omnipotence involves
obtaining the quality called 'Faith'. A person demonstrating that they had
'Faith' would be one who intellectually understood and accepted the idea
that all the parts of the universe are intimately connected and then only
using his ordinary local perceptive capabilities (which testify of only
localized things) went out and did things which were strictly in accordance
with the non-local perceptive mode. In other words, he knows or believes
intellectually that non-local connections expresses the true reality of
the universe and he, while not actually seeing these connections with his
ordinary perceptive instruments (eyes), behaves as if the connections were
there even when he can't 'see' them. So my thesis here is that not seeing
the connections but behaving as if they existed is a necessary exercise to
the growth in each individual of the non-local power (called 'faith'). Now
the idea is that: Wouldn't it be wonderful if everyone began to obtain faith
so that they could heal the ill, perform telekinetic feats (walk on water),
make the blind to see, and manifest enough food out of a few loaves and fishes
to feed thousands so that there was more left over than they started with?
In other words we say to ourselves, wouldn't it be lovely if everyone could
escape from causality and death and enter the world of miracles? But when
we do miracles in front of people for the sake of proving that we can do them
(what could be more 'scientific'?) we are actually causing harm. The harm is
that 'faith' is obtained by 'doing' (behaving in a certain fashion) while
*not having evidence* (actual perception of the non-local interconnections
so that doing a 'miracle' provides 'evidence' of non-local interconnections
and thus harms the 'faith' building process of bystanders (scientists watching
the demonstration of telekinesis, for example). Harming the faith building
process in any individual is counter to the single mission associated with
living one's life harmoniously with the reality that the cosmos is intimately
connected. In other words, an individual living his life in harmony with the
absolute connections in the universe realizes he's not disconnected at the
level of ultimate reality with anyone and so he sees how important it is
that each localized consciousness gets to rise to the level of non-local
consciousness and becomes imbued with the power innate in such consciousness,
which power is 'faith'. So he can't go around harming the faith building
process and still be in harmony with the universe. There is a good reason
why Messiah stated: "An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign;".
This analysis, while probably not satisfactory for most of those who read
this list, establishes that those who are 'seeking after a sign' which
translated says: "desiring to find experimental evidence" will likely not
achieve their goal and that such activities are actually harmful (in the
long view) both to themselves and to those standing by watching them.
I think the most positive approach at this time is to understand and
accept the non-local interconnection reality and begin to reformulate
our physics from that basis. The intellectual effort expended in
formulating such a physics would be a real 'work of faith' and once
completed is sure to yield a rich blessing for all of mankind. Let's
start.
The two major ideas in physics today are General Relativity and Quantum
Mechanics. However, these two areas of intellectual effort are actually
not really compatible and seamlessly welded together. So, either they
are both wrong or just one of them is right. From GR comes the field
concept of space time which would seem to tie everything together in
accordance with the premise explored here. But the singularities that
are implicit in GR belie our premise. QM, not admitting to non-local
interactions would, it seems, indorse causality but actually can't
because its principle of complementarity implies that nothing sensible
or of value can be said of particles between acts of measurement. There
is a discreteness of particles implied by QM but the use of fields makes
it so that QM is even paradoxical with itself. What idea do they both
embrace which both links them and dooms them? Why, nothing less than
the concept of the field, the idea of continuous structures. Upon this
single idea rests all of modern physics. And if this idea is wrong, then,
certainly, physics needs to be rebuilt from the ground up.
If physics ultimately operates at the non-local level then we should expect
technology based upon those principles to tap into the entire universe for
its power. This is the prize to be gained, the boon to all of mankind, that
awaits, as it were, as an unopened present.
